About Don't Say Sex
Don't Say Sex is a community, based on sex-positive sex education, that aims to promote body positivity, freedom in sexuality and open conversation about sex, without guilt or shame. Its number one focus is breaking the taboo surrounding sex and sexuality, so that young people in today's society can speak freely and be exactly who they want to be.
We are currently active on Instagram (including IGTV) and on YouTube, where both ways to find us are @dontsaysex

In May 2020, Don't Say Sex released its first documentary style video series, 'Sex Chat' which is currently live on YouTube and IGTV. The series aimed to investigate views on sexuality, body image, the self, the LGBTQ+ community, masturbation, consent, gender equality and many other topics concerning attitudes towards sex. Various members of the sexual education community took part in the project through interviews, including professional sex ed spokespeople from groups such as Teaching The Talk, Sexplain, Passion@People, Split Banana and The Candid Collective. So far it has had an excellent response - it can be found on our producer's FABULOUS YouTube channel, through clicking the link below:
The Founder
My name is Charlotte, better known as Char - I am the Founder of Don't Say Sex! I am a 21 year old university graduate with a passion for sex education and have just submitted my dissertation, titled, 'An Investigation into Attitudes to Sex and Views on Common Methods of Sex Education.'
Don't Say Sex was originally created in 2019 as a way for me to explore Instagram's vast amount of sex-positive accounts, due to my growing interest in the topic over the previous few years! I had always been steered away from the idea of talking about sex, hence the irony in the name. Now, I am hoping to spread the message of sex positivity, decrease the amount of taboo surrounding sex and help others to come to terms with their sexuality.
I recently just completed my Acet Esteem Network Relationships & Sex Education training, which was a fantastic experience! I am hoping to continue my education within RSE to create more exciting educational content.
I have worked with various companies to create sex positive content, including writing guest articles and creating reviews. I am very keen on working with companies that promote inclusivity in their products, as I believe very strongly in inclusivity myself.
The page has grown in numbers over the past year and has become its own community, one that I am very proud of and extremely glad to be a part of!
